Festival mode: the only food truck software built for high-volume events
300 people in line. One window. No system. That's the problem Festival Mode solves — QR ordering, pickup codes, and a kitchen queue that never sleeps.
What a food truck festival actually looks like without the right software
A single tablet POS becomes a chokepoint at 200 people
At normal lunch volume, one POS works fine. At a festival with 300 people arriving at once, that single order point creates a line that runs half the length of the event. Customers give up and go to another truck. Festival Mode turns every customer's phone into an ordering terminal — the entire line can order simultaneously.
Shouting names over a crowd doesn't scale
Calling out order names at high volume is exhausting and error-prone. Customers drift away from the pickup window and miss their name. Others crowd the window and create a second line. 3-digit pickup codes solve this entirely — customers watch the display, come up when they see their code, and the handoff takes two seconds.
Kitchen visibility disappears under the noise
At a festival, verbal communication between the window and the kitchen breaks down fast. Orders get lost, duplicated, or made wrong. TrooNow's kitchen display shows the live queue with every ticket — ordered by time, color-coded by status, one tap to mark ready.
Multi-truck festivals are a coordination nightmare without a system
Festival operators running multiple trucks need to see all of them at once — which truck has the longest queue, which is running low on an item, which has the most revenue today. TrooNow's fleet console shows every truck live from one screen.

Common questions
You print or display a QR code on your truck (one per truck). Customers scan it with their phone camera — no app download. They see your menu, order, pay with Apple Pay / Google Pay / card, and get a 3-digit pickup code. They watch the big-screen display until their code appears.
Any monitor, TV, or large tablet connected to a device running a browser. You open the Festival Display URL on that device and it auto-refreshes as orders are marked ready. A $99 Amazon Fire tablet mounted on a stand works perfectly.
Yes. Your regular tablet POS works in parallel — POS orders and QR orders both go to the same kitchen display and pickup queue. Some operators run both: QR for the line, POS for guests who need help ordering.
Festival Mode is included in the Plus plan at $79/month. The fleet console for multi-truck events is also on Plus. If you only do one or two festivals a year, contact us about a monthly upgrade — you can switch plans anytime.
Yes. Each truck in your fleet gets its own QR code, its own kitchen display, and its own pickup display. The Fleet Console shows all trucks simultaneously — queue depth, revenue, and item counts. You can see which truck needs help without leaving your spot.
